Consider a hypothetical hotel with a countably infinite number of rooms, all of which are occupied. One might be tempted to think that the hotel would not be able to accommodate any newly arriving guests, as would be the case with a finite number of rooms.<\/p>\n

Shooting<\/h2>\n

The shooting occurred in theater 14[10]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0during the 7:10\u00a0p.m. screening of\u00a0Trainwreck<\/a><\/i>, held at the Grand 16 movie theater in Lafayette, just 60 miles (97\u00a0km) west of\u00a0Baton Rouge<\/a>.[2]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Houser, 59, went to the theater alone, bought a ticket ten minutes late into the movie,[11]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0and sat for several minutes in the theater\u2019s second-to-last row. Including Houser,[12]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0there were 25 people in the theater and 300 people in the building.[13]<\/a><\/sup>[14]<\/a><\/sup>[15]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Houser was armed with a\u00a0Hi-Point<\/a>\u00a0.40-caliber<\/a>\u00a0handgun<\/a>[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0and equipped with two 10-round\u00a0magazines<\/a>. However, upon noticing police sirens, he retreated back inside the building and fired three more shots at fleeing moviegoers. Prior to the shooting, two police officers were already on duty at the 16-screen\u00a0multiplex<\/a>. Four other officers responded to the scene in less than a minute after receiving a 7:28\u00a0p.m. report of the shooting. After witnessing audiences fleeing and hearing gunshots, they made their way into the auditorium.
