Let’s look at an example of modern symbolic evolution.
Genetics and biochemistry researchers of various physical biology processes …gather data …. analyze the data ,…. and build symbolic models and flowcharts of the biochemistry systems involved. Research papers are published….and after years of study and refinement and confirmation of the ideas and systems …basic ideas find their way into a basic college textbook on genetics …….thus giving the original physical biology entity a new FORMAT of life…known as symbolic life …with nouns, equations, system diagrams,etc.
Now, what happens to this symbolic life ….this information data set? Here, we consider the future direction of that knowledge base.
1) the symbolic life of genes/molecular cell biology remains in tha that special technical community …and helps develop additional knowledge in genetics,etc
2) the concepts and language of genetics, DNA enters the general stream of consciousness of the general public …… who are not really concerned about those ideas.
The public mind… is composed of their conscious mind, subliminal mind, subconscious mind, and the Carl Jung collective unconscious MIND of a community like Madison, Wisconsin. Shows on television and newspaper/ magazine articles ……slowly feed genetic/DNA ideas into the public mind …without the public paying attention to the process. Thus after 10 or 20 years …the public mentality and their individual subconscious mind ….has many genetic concepts …….BUT does not understand the context of their usage ..which a biochemistry graduate student or professor understands. …when and how to use the knowledge, its limits and its powers.
