On July 20, 2012, a mass shooting<\/a> occurred inside a Century 16<\/a> movie theater<\/a> in Aurora, Colorado<\/a>, during a midnight screening<\/a> of the film The Dark Knight Rises<\/a>. A gunman, dressed in tactical clothing, set off tear gas<\/a> grenades and shot into the audience with multiple firearms. Twelve people were killed and around 70 others were injured, making this the largest number of casualties in a shooting in the United States<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nVang told the jury he feared for his life and began firing only after another hunter’s shot nearly hit him.<\/p>\n
